The Saint Joseph Symphony has named Lori McAlister as its new Managing Director. The former office and program manager for the Lincoln, Nebraska Arts Council will begin directing the business side of the symphony on August 14th.

As Managing Director, McAlister will lead administrative and financial management of the symphony, coordinate volunteer activities, negotiate contracts with musicians, and develop fund raising projects.

President of the Saint Joseph Symphony, Barry Birr, says that McAlister brings a wealth of experience to the job.

"We're just excited about the opportunity to tap into her experience and her abilities and her skills to improve the St. Joseph Symphony and make it even better, more of a service to the public than it is right now."

McAlister will assume her role as managing director for the Saint Joseph Symphony on August 14th.
